Importance of Education
Zamaritan.org’s mission and vision revolve around empowering the youth of Zambia through education and volunteerism. By fostering a culture of service and providing practical learning opportunities, Zamaritan.org aims to shape a future where young people are active contributors to their communities and agents of positive change in Zambia.
Literacy – Education for all
This partnership with the Government is aimed at transforming the current education system at various levels from primary School through to tertiary levels with support from volunteers utilizing additional infrastructure such as technologically advanced learning aids to enhance the learners’ experience and quality education. This unlocks the children’s full potential and culminates into improved academic performance and subsequently translates into a more educated citizenry and ultimately a better world.
Behavioral Shift
It has been observed from Transparency International’s flagship product, the Corruption Perceptions Index that Zambia Ranks 117/180. This index provides insight into the relative degree of corruption by ranking territories and countries from all over the globe. We at Zamaritan.org feel it is part of our mandate to raise a generation that embraces ethics and self-dependence by inculcating hard work and volunteerism as the drivers of our agenda.
Promote Entrepreneurship & Diversification in Zambia
This program is also inclined towards entrepreneurship and is structured to change the behavioral patterns and attitudes of the trainees to that of a winner and inculcate Christian values and virtues such as self-control, discipline, accountability, and perseverance as a platform for success.
Poverty Alleviation
The third objective of this concept is poverty alleviation through education and youth empowerment by equipping beneficiaries with skills to enable them to enhance their own livelihoods and contribute to the national economy through tax.
